How to care for your furnitureEach piece from Anna’s Art House is carefully hand-painted using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and finished with Annie Sloan Wax to create a soft, velvety sheen and a durable, long-lasting surface. With a little care, your furniture will continue to look beautiful for many years to come.After waxing, the finish continues to cure and harden over time. We recommend allowing around 2–3 weeks before placing heavy objects on the surface or wiping it with water. Once cured, regular dusting with a soft cloth is all that’s needed for day-to-day care. If spills occur, simply wipe gently with a damp (not wet) cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh cleaning products or sprays, as these can damage the wax finish.Over time, you may wish to refresh the wax to restore its soft sheen or add extra protection, although this is entirely optional. Many pieces remain beautiful for years without additional waxing.Hand-painted furniture naturally develops gentle signs of use over time — small marks and subtle wear only enhance its character and charm. If you have any questions about caring for your furniture, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — I’m always happy to offer advice.How are items delivered?I have a selection of reliable couriers that I work with, and as soon as an order is placed, I contact them for a quote and availability. As the cost of this can vary greatly, I charge a flat rate for delivery and absorb any extra cost that the private courier may charge. I aim to have your item delivered within 1-2 weeks however will keep you updated on the delivery process. On occasion we may be able to personally deliver your new furniture.You are also welcome to collect from Sutton Coldfield or one of the areas listed in the items description. If you wish to do this, please contact me prior to ordering so that I can offer you a discount.Do you do commissions?I do from time to time open for commissions, however at present am fully booked.
