Hi I'm Anna, welcome to Anna's Art House. I'm a wife, mum of two, and part time nurse, and started upcycling in 2020 whilst on maternity leave after the birth of my second daughter. I love art, painting, and giving old preloved furniture a new lease of life.I have an online shop, and also offer a commission service. This involves restoring and painting furniture that you already have at home, after discussing with you exactly what you want, to create a bespoke, one-of-a-kind piece. There is a lift up lid, with a metal link chain to prevent the lid from falling back, and is very well made. Folky-rose hand painted stag cupboard

This beautiful statement piece is an original stag minstrel linen cupboard, which is versatile and can be used for handy storage in most rooms.It has been carefully restored, and painted in 'greek blue' with a floral rose design in yellow, pink, green, grey, and white. The whole piece has been painted free-hand and then waxed for protection and to give a beautiful mellow finish.There is a spacious cupboard with a adjustable shelf, and a short vertical divider in the middle of this shelf. The two doors open smoothly and have had roller catches applied. Hand painted olive and cream floral coffee table

This solid oak coffee table has been restored and painted by hand in an original floral design.The base has been painted in Olive, with hours of hand painted floral patterns applied in a variety of earthy colours. The whole piece has then been waxed with 2-3 layers for protection. Finally, white wax has been applied to give a beautiful aged patina effect, and enhance the vintage look of the piece.The table is heavy and exceptionally well made, expecting to last generations to come.Approximate measurements:

Frequently Asked Questions
How are items delivered?I have a selection of reliable couriers that I work with, and as soon as an order is placed, I contact them for a quote and availability. As the cost of this can vary greatly, I charge a flat rate for delivery and absorb any extra cost that the private courier may charge. I aim to have your item delivered within 1-2 weeks however will keep you updated on the delivery process. On occasion we may be able to personally deliver your new furniture.You are also welcome to collect from Sutton Coldfield or one of the areas listed in the items description.How to care for your furnitureAll the furniture listed is painted with 'Annie Sloan' chalk paints, that have been chosen for their beautiful colours, and high quality. As a sealant, I generally use furniture wax as this highlights brushstrokes and provides a beautiful, mellow finish. Furniture wax is water resistant and ages well, however it is recommended that you use a coaster, and avoid chemical cleaners- a damp cloth is all the cleaning it needs.How much do you charge for commissions?The price for commissions vary greatly based on the piece and design, however please feel free to contact me for a personalised quote - it may be cheaper than you think!
